Hot Balloon Race

Hot Balloon Face is a one-button game where players have to fire the burner of a hot air balloon to send it upwards, bouncing along, collecting speed boosts and setting off rockets, as well as competing against other balloons in nine different races. It’s a simple but fluid mechanic, with naturalistic animation and beautiful graphics, with each race set against a new backdrop and players able to unlock new balloons to fly in – some of which feature special properties. The number of competitors also increases with game progression, and each location offers three sequentially unlockable variants.

Hot Balloon Race, conceived and developed by the Barcelona Studio under my supervision, was awarded a Pocketgamer Bronze Award.
